Fact Check: Lady listing COVID-19 precautions in this viral video is NOT a senior doctor of Medanta Hospital

A video is being widely shared on social media in which a woman is listing out precautions to be taken against COVID-19.

The message is being circulated with a claim that the lady in the video is a senior doctor of Medanta Hospital, who has been treating COVID-19 patients.

“She is a senior doctor of Medanta Hospital treating corona patients successfully 🙏🙏”: the posts claim.

NewsMobile fact-checked the above post and found the claim to be false.

Medanta Hospital, in a Facebook post, clarified that the video has been falsely linked with the hospital and the lady does not work at Medanta.

“An unauthorised and frivolous video with mischievous intent is in circulation. The individual featured in it falsely claims to be a Medanta doctor and makes frivolous recommendations in the context of COVID-19. The video has no relation with Medanta or any of our doctors. We do not take any responsibility for it. The public is advised not to circulate it and warn others, ” the hospital posted.

NewsMobile independently couldn’t verify the origin of the video. However, the above information proves that the video is circulation has no link with Medanta and hence the claim is false.
