Govt sends a strong message to China, bans Tik Tok, UC news, string of Chinese apps

The Centre on Monday blocked 59 apps with Chinese links, including TikTok and UC Browser.

Here’s the list of apps banned by the government:

The Ministry of Information Technology invoked its power under section 69A of the Information Technology Act, in view of the information available that these apps are engaged in activities which are prejudicial to sovereignty and integrity of India, defence of India, the security of the state and public order.
