Date:

A picture of an aircraft with ‘Khalistan Airlines’ written on it is being widely shared on social media.

Khalistan Airline…Indian occupied Punjab free from RSS,” a Facebook post read.

Here’s the link to the above post.

The same picture was circulated in 2018 as well with the claim that ‘Khalistan Airlines’ was inaugurated in Canada.

More posts containing the picture can be found here, here, here, and here.

FACT CHCEK

NewsMobile fact-checked the post and found it to false and misleading.

We ran the picture through Reverse Image Search and found the same picture in an article by ABC News, dated 2018.  However, the plane had ‘Singapore Airlines’ written on it. The headline of the news article with which the image was used read, “Singapore Airlines pilot fails random blood alcohol test in Melbourne.”

We also compared both the pictures and found that they are same and only the name and signage have been changed/added.

Moreover, we also ran a keyword search but did not find any information regarding existence of any such airline.

Hence, based on the above information, it is clear that the picture in circulation is false and misleading.
