President Ram Nath Kovind Hosts Get Together On Republic Day

President Ram Nath Kovind hosted a gettogether on Republic Day on Tuesday at Rashtrapati Bhawan where only about 100 selected guests were invited. The sit-down evening was at the round table at the Majestic Mughal gardens. Amongst the invitees were selected cabinet ministers, MP’s, secretaries, and select few journalists.

Those who were invited included Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Vice-President Venkaiah Naidu, Chief Justice of India Sharad Arvind Bobde, former Vice President Hamid Ansari was also present. Among the Union ministers present were Defence Minister Rajanath Singh, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan, and Railway Minister Piyush Goyal.

The names on the tables were of the rivers across the country as a mark of remembering India’s rich resources on it’s 72nd Republic day.
