After a majestic show, Tom Brady led Tampa Bay Buccaneers won the Super Bowl Title. The Buccaneers beat the Kansas City Chiefs 31-9 at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, giving Brady his record seventh Super Bowl title.

This Super Bowl began nearly 11 months ago with one of the most phenomenal gambles in football history.

Brady and the Buccaneers are Super Bowl champions. The Tampa Bay defense stifled Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs, as the Buccaneers earned a 31-9 victory in the game.

Tom Brady, who already held the record for most Super Bowl wins by any player, has now won his seventh championship. Tampa Bay is the first team ever to both play and win the Super Bowl in their home stadium.

In a pre-recorded interview, President Joe Biden lamented the lack of Black coaches in the NFL during a Super Bowl halftime interview, urging teams to emphasize diversity in their hiring process.

“You’ve got to go out and look — there’s innumerous incredibly qualified African American coaches out there,” Biden told Westwood One during an interview that aired during halftime of the Super Bowl.

The President went on to reference Vice President Kamala Harris — the nation’s first female, first Black and first South Asian vice president — as he sought to explain the importance of representation in powerful positions.

“I don’t know how many, when I picked a Black woman to be vice president, I don’t know how many hundreds of thousands of little girls just said, ‘I can do that.’ … It matters, it matters,” the President said. “And I don’t understand why they cannot be found, because they exist, so many African American coaches that are qualified, that should be in the pros in my view.”

Apart from this, American singer-songwriter Miley Cyrus kick-started the TikTok Tailgate celebration at Super Bowl LV in Tampa, Florida, with a little help from rock legends Joan Jett and Billy Idol.

Cyrus also gave a shout-out to Britney Spears during her TikTok Tailgate performance at Super Bowl LV. “We love Britney,” she said while adding the singer’s name to the lyrics of the 2009 hit track ‘Party in the U.S.A’.

Portions of the singer’s performance aired during the CBS Super Bowl LV Pregame Show.

While viewers from the U.S. and Canada were able to access the live pre-game content by visiting the @NFL account on TikTok, 7,5000 vaccinated Florida-based health care workers attended the COVID-19 safe hospitality event in-person.

Other performers at the event included H.E.R., who sang ‘America the Beautiful’, and Eric Church and Jazmine Sullivan, who performed a duet on the national anthem.

Meanwhile, American poet-activist Amanda Gorman,  who grabbed many eyeballs when she recited her poem ‘The Hill We Climb’ at US President Joe Biden’s inauguration ceremony, honoured the COVID-19 heroes in a moving performance at Super Bowl LV in Tampa, Florida.

In the game, she appeared in a pre-taped portion at the Super Bowl in a glam blue coat by Moschino to recite her poem. During the moving performance, Gorman shined the spotlight on three everyday heroes as footage of them in their respective elements played.

Gorman honoured James Martin, a veteran who works with the Wounded Warrior Project and has live-streamed football games for his community, Trimaine Davis, a Los Angeles teacher who has provided tech workshops to kids to help them with remote learning and Suzie Dorner, an ICU nurse manager at Tampa Bay General Hospital.

The game was capped off by the pandemic, As America’s most watched game- Super Bowl was attended  by 24,835 fans, just a fraction of full capacity. There were 7,500 vaccinated health-care workers in attendance. Coaches, and even players, were masked on the sideline.
