11 Dead, 36 Injured In Explosion At Fire Cracker Factory In Tamil Nadu’s Virudhunagar

At least 11 people have died and 36 injured in an explosion at a firecracker factory in Tamil Nadu’s Virudhunagar district.

Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami has announced ex-gratia of Rs 3 Lakhs each to kin of deceased and Rs 1 Lakh for critically injured, while Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed grief over the blast and has also announced Rs 2 lakhs each for kin of deceased & Rs 50,000 for seriously injured.
