Drishyam 2 Review: Mohanlal And Jeethu Joseph’s Film Is A Thrilling Sequel

Date:

Drishyam, we all have watched it and admired the labyrinth as weaved by George Kutty to save his family from the clutches of the murder trials.

And guess what? Yes, the story continues in the much-anticipated sequel ‘Drishyam 2’ shot majorly in Kerala.

The plot shows how George Kutty is now wealthier and has also expanded his business and owns a cinema theatre. The film starts with him wanting to produce a film and this gets his neighbours jealous of his success.

George Kutty is not a man to be cowed down, and the rest of the movie is an exciting game of how he foxes the cops and saves his family. The twist, in the end, is simply superb.

The movie released in Feb 2021 and ever since its release has received much praise. It’s a well gripping tale that will leave you pondering even after you finished watching it.

Suspense is built at the very last as effectively as its first part.

The original house and the street, along with the cable shop and the main police station are all recreated, and Rajeev Kovilakathu as the art director yet again made a masterpiece.

After the release of Drishyam 2, producer Antony Perumbavoor has hinted that it is possible there would be a third sequel for the series, it looks like Jeethu has Drishyam 3 in mind, and there had been discussions with Mohanlal.
