The owner of Delhi’s upscale ‘Khan Chacha’ restaurant, Navneet Kalra, is said to be absconding since Delhi police recovered 105 oxygen concentrators during raids at two of his upscale restaurants.
A Page 3 regular, Navneet Kalra is the owner of iconic Khan Chacha brand of upscale restaurants, and is presently the prime accused in a case related to hoarding and black-marketing of crucial medical equipment including oxygen concentrators.
Following this, a collage of two images has surfaced on social media platforms showing a man posing with Congress leaders Rahul and Sonia Gandhi. The images are being shared with a claim insinuating that the man in the photo is Kalra and that he is linked to Congress.
A Facebook user shared the image with a caption in Hindi that translates to, “The Delhi Police has seized 96 oxygen concentrators from the famous Khan Chacha restaurant in Khan Market, Delhi. The owner of Khan Chacha Restaurant is Navneet Kalra is currently absconding. 4 people have been arrested so far, including his manager Hitesh.”
The image is being widely shared on Facebook and Twitter with the same narrative.

We checked the Facebook profile of Navneet Kalra and found this image was uploaded by him on January 28, 2019.
In the image, Kalra tagged Augusto Cabrera, managing partner, and corporate chef of Townhall, which is owned by Navneet Kalra. In this, the date of the original post can be seen as January 23, 2015.
On comparing the viral image with pictures of Cabrera on his Facebook account, we found that the man in the viral image posing with Gandhis is Cabrera, not Kalra.
From the comparison collage, it is clear that the man seen in the viral image is Augusto Cabrera.
Navneet Kalra also has photos with several prominent politicians, cricketers, and Bollywood celebrities which can be seen on his social media account.
In conclusion, we can say that the man posing in the viral image with Congress leaders Sonia and Rahul Gandhi is not Navneet Kalra but his associate.
