A video has gone viral on social media, which shows a woman arguing with security guards while holding a photo frame. The video is being shared with a claim that she is from the minority community and tried to snatch Bharat Mata’s (Mother India) photograph and stopped people from hoisting the Indian national flag on Republic Day.
The video is being shared with a caption that reads, “A lady in Maharashtra blocking flag hoisting n trying to snatch bharat Mata photo. Look at the liberty we have given them n unexplainable, stupid tolerance . इस महिला ने भारत माता की फोटो छीनी एवं जो कार्यक्रम था, भारत माता के सम्मान में उसको बाधित किया यह देखो इसकी कितनी हिम्मत है । यह बहुत गहन विचार का विषय है। यह हाल तो आज इनका महाराष्ट्र में है कल पूरे देश में होगा जैसे ही इनकी आबादी बढ़ेगी यह किसी को जीने नहीं देंगे।”
(English translation: This woman snatched the photo of Mother India and interfered in the program held in the honor of Mother India. This is a matter of deep thought. This is the situation in Maharashtra today, tomorrow it will be in the whole country. As soon as their population increases, they will not let anyone live.)

FACT CHECK
NewsMobile did a fact-check and found the claim to be fake.
On searching with appropriate keywords, we found a news report by Navbharat Times on January 27, 2022. The report suggested that a woman in a society in Thane, Maharashtra, created a ruckus during a Puja ceremony. The report also suggested that the woman snatched phones of people who were recording the altercation.
We further found that Times Now Marathi had also published a report about the incident. The report suggested that the mental condition of the woman in the video was not good.
Thane City Police also replied to a Tweet mentioning that an NC (a complaint about non-cognisable offences) has been registered against this woman in Kapurbawdi police station.
NewsMobile contacted Kapurbawdi police, who confirmed that the woman is mentally ill and there is no communal angle involved in the story. They informed that NC has been registered against her twice. They said that another NC was registered against her when she got into a fight with a rickshaw driver over the charges.
Hence, from the above fact check, it is clear that the video is being shared with a false claim.
