Watch: Haryana Parents Object To Compulsory Board Exams For Class 8

Despite strong reservations from parents, students, and schools affiliated with CBSE, CISCE, the HaryanaAdministration has announced that it will move ahead with the decision to conduct the board exam for Class 8.

Haryana’s State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), has made it clear that all students studying in the government and recognized private schools situated in Haryana need to pass the Class 8 annual examination for admission in Class 9.


Haryana SCERT has appointed the Board of School Education Haryana (BSEH) to conduct the Class 8 board exams in all schools that are situated in Haryana.

Many officials have pointed out that board exams in Class 8 may create practical problems for the students as different boards function on a different set of syllabus and patterns of teaching.
