Amid the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict, many Pakistani nationals including students are still stranded in Kyiv and other cities of Ukraine.
The Pakistan government, Foreign Office and Embassy have miserably failed in meeting the challenge of evacuations of its nationals, according to media reports.

The Daily Milap got in touch with Pakistanis in Ukraine, one of the student sharing his ordeal said he is disappointed with the Pakistani embassy’s behavior. “They did nothing to help get us out. We are the future of Pakistan and they treated us like this during this difficult time,” he lamented.
Another person said: “I blame our ambassador to Ukraine who did not have the foresight to expel the Pakistani students when the war was raging. Was he asleep? Did he not understand that when other embassies – the US and Britain and Canada – telling your people to leave?”
Meanwhile, India’s ‘Operation Ganga’, so far has operated 76 flights that have brought over 15920 Indians back to India. Out of these 76 flights, 13 flights landed in the last 24 hours.
In all, over 21000 Indians came out of Ukraine since the issuance of the advisory in January 2022. Out of these, 19920 Indians have already reached India.
The Indian flag came to the rescue of not only Indians stranded in Ukraine but also helped Pakistani and Turkish students flee the war-torn country.
Earlier this week, the Indian students who arrived in the city of Bucharest, Romania from Ukraine said that the Indian flag helped them, as well as some Pakistani and Turkish students, safely cross the various checkpoints.

The Ministry of External Affairs had previously recommended Indian students stranded in Ukraine’s crisis-stricken country to fly the national flag on their vehicles to ensure a safe departure.
