Bihar Marks 110 Years Of Formation

Date:

Bihar is going to celebrate its 110th Bihar Diwas this year. The theme of Bihar Diwas 2022 is ‘Jal, Jeevan, Hariyali’.

Bihar Diwas or Bihar Day is observed every year on March 22, to mark the formation of the state of Bihar. It was on this day that Bihar was carved out as a state from Bengal by the British in 1912.

This year many prominent artists will be performing in Gandhi Maidan and SK Memorial Hall and government buildings will be decorated with blue light to mark the occasion. It is after 2-years that the day will be celebrated with such excitement and zeal.

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar also extended his greetings and hoped that Bihar would continue to progress. He tweeted, “Let us all pledge to take our state to new heights through unity, brotherhood and social harmony.”

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also extended his greetings on this occasion. He tweeted, “Happy Bihar Diwas to all the brothers and sisters of Bihar. I wish that this state, rich in historical and cultural heritage, continues to set new records of development.”
