Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24, 2022, due to which many Ukrainians are fleeing to neighbouring countries. According to a report published by The New York Times on March 1, 2022, at least 660,000 people fled Ukraine in the first five days of Russia’s invasion.
In the above context, a video of Poland MP Dominik Tarczynski is widely being shared on social media in which he says, “If you are asking me about Muslims illegal immigration, none will come to come to Poland, if it is illegal. We took over 2 million Ukrainian who are peaceful in Poland. We will not receive even one Muslim because this is what we promised.” He makes the above statement in an interview.
The video is widely being shared with a caption that reads, “पोलैंड के सांसद का बयान, हम दो मिलियन युक्रेन शरणार्थी ले सकते है लेकिन एक भी मुस्लिम शरणार्थी नहीं…….” (English translation: “Poland MP statement, we can take two million Ukraine refugees but not a single Muslim refugee.”)

NewsMobile did a fact-check and found the claim to be misleading.
On doing a Google Reverse Image Search, we found the same video was published by Channel 4 on June 18, 2018, with the title that read, “Dominik Tarczynski, Law and Justice party: ‘It’s not about refugees, it’s about illegal immigrants’”
We also found that Dominik Tarczynski had also tweeted the same video on March 2, 2020, with a caption that read, “It’s as simple as that!”
