Crime Branch Officer Suspended After Found Smoking Hookah With Gangster

Kanpur: A picture went viral where a crime branch officer was seen smoking hookah with a gangster. The viral picture is of crime branch officer Mohhamad Asif who is seen sitting with criminal Ankit Lala.

The officer in the picture was suspended by the police and further investigation was initiated by UP police.

Opposition Samajwadi Party took to Twitter and shared the news and said “ If the crime branch officer in UP is smoking hookah with a criminal, then how will crime stop?”

Taking a dig at the BJP government in Uttar Pradesh, the tweet further added that “ Zero tolerance policy against criminals is just a sham. Action should be taken against the inspector.”

According to reports, Anand Prakash Tiwari, Joint CP, has ordered a detailed investigation into the matter. The police further confirmed that the officer has been suspended and a committee has been formed for further investigation into the matter.
