IPL 2022: LSG At The Top Of The Points Table After Defeating KKR By 75 Runs

Pune: Lucknow Super Giants crushed Kolkata Knight Riders and won the match by 75 runs in the ongoing Indian Premier League on Saturday. 

Kolkata Knight Riders won the toss and elected to field in today’s game. Lucknow Super Giants lost an early wicket with the dismissal of in-form KL Rahul. Quinton De Kock led the innings and scored a half-century in just 29 deliveries. Deepak Hooda too joined and contributed crucial 40 runs. The target for KKR was 177 runs after the end of the LSG innings. 

KKR crumbled as the top order failed miserably to score and set the tone of the innings. Andre Russell managed to play an outstanding inning by scoring 45 runs in just 19 deliveries. Shortly after his dismissal, the KKR innings concluded at 101 runs with all wickets down. 

Mohsin Khan continued his form and took a wicket and gave six runs in three overs. Avesh Khan and Jason Holder bagged three wickets each in the match. 

With this win, LSG moves to the top of the points table in the ongoing IPL season. KKR remains at the eighth position.
