‘Path Will Be Tough,’ Tendulkar On Son Arjun’s Selection

Date:

Mumbai: As the Indian Premier League moves to the playoffs, Mumbai Indians had a disappointing season-ending last in the points table.

While most successful franchise will certainly face changes, one impending question remains on the fate of Arjun Tendulkar in the team.

Sachin Tendulkar thinks that the path to selection for junior Tendulkar will be challenging.

“My conversation with Arjun has always been that the path is going to be challenging and difficult.” He further added that Arjun started playing cricket for “the love of the game, continue to do so and work hard and results will follow,” Tendulkar said on a talk show, SachInsights.

While talking about his selection into the playing eleven of Mumbai Indians, he said that “I have never involved myself in the selection, I leave all these things on the management of the team because that is how I have always functioned.”

Arjun Tendulkar is a budding left-arm Medium pacer who was picked up by the Mumbai Indians team as a net bowler at a base price for two seasons. While fans of Sachin were anticipating his debut in the final game of Mumbai Indians, the franchise and management have different plans for him.

When asked about his son’s debut, Sachin said that “It is a different question, “What I think or feel is not important, the season is already over.”

Arjun Tendulkar has shown his value in the nets of MI and made his debut in Ranji Trophy against Haryana back in the 2021 season. However, Arjun is yet to give a remarkable performance with the bowl but is considered to be a dependable option for the captain.
