Virat Kohli Becomes First Indian To Cross 200M Instagram Followers

In what could be another feat for cricketer Virat Kohli, he has now become the first Indian to cross 200 Million followers on Instagram.

Kohli is one of the most popular cricketers in the world, he is also so known for breaking records on the cricket field. He also became the first Asian to that mark.

Kohli, one of the highest-paid sports people in the world, has popularity on social media and has witnessed an unpredictable rise in the last two years during this time his Instagram followers increased by over 100 million.

He is the most followed cricketer on Instagram, and only sportspeople like Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ranaldo have more followers than the prolific batter.

Virat himself posted on Instagram and thank his fans and supporters, he wrote the caption “200 mil strong. Thanks for all your support insta fam”, on his Instagram post.

Recently, he gave up the captaincy in T20Is after the 2021 T20 World Cup and was removed as the ODI captain. He also went for a step down as India’s Test caption as well.
