COVID Not Over Yet, Important To Be Alert: Union Health Minister

New Delhi: Amid the rise in cases over the past few days, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya alerted everyone and urged everyone to follow COVID-related guidelines on Monday.

Health Minister while chairing a meeting through Video Conferencing today with Health Ministers and senior officials of states and Union Territories where he said that “COVID not over yet. With rising COVID cases in some states, important to be alert and not forget COVID-appropriate behavior (CAB),”

He further urged states and UTs to ramp up preparations and continue to strengthen surveillance and focus on Genome Sequencing in the country. He also stressed on testing and stated increased and timely testing will enable the identification of COVID cases which will curb the spread of the infections.

He also talked about a five-fold strategy of Test, Track, Treat, Vaccination & Adherence to COVID Appropriate Behaviour needs to be followed.

He further asked states to increase focus on vaccination of school-going children and precaution doses for the elderly.
