Meanwhile, Khali has accused the Ladhowal toll plaza employees of “blackmailing” him.
The incident happened on Monday when Khali was traveling from Jalandhar, Punjab, to Karnal, Haryana, according to the police.
No complaints were lodged by any of the two parties, according to a police officer at the Ladhowal police station on Tuesday.
In the video, When the former wrestler was asked for identification, a toll plaza employee could be heard asking him why he slapped his colleague.
“You were asked to show your ID card, show the ID card,” the toll employee tells Khali to which he replies, “You are blackmailing me”. The employee then says, “We are not blackmailing you. Why did you slap him? Show the ID card if you have it.” Khali is heard saying that he does not have his ID card in the clip.
Khali’s car was blocked from leaving by a barricade while this was happening. However, the ex-wrestler stepped out and pushed it away despite the toll booth worker’s failed attempts to stop him.
Then a police officer stepped in, and both parties could be seen making their claims.
Later, Khali addressed all of these allegations in a video message that he posted on his Instagram. Khali also claimed that toll workers mistreated him by reportedly demanding pictures in exchange for allowing his car to pass through the toll gate. The wrestler added that such individuals had to be punished in order to deter future misbehaviour with famous people.
