Rhea Chakraborty Charged In Drugs Case Involving Sushant Singh Rajput

Mumbai: In the latest turn of events, the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) charged actor Rhea Chakraborty on Wednesday for buying drugs for her boyfriend and late actor Sushant Singh Rajput, who died in 2020.

The drug agency filed a charge sheet with her name and 34 others as accused in the high-profile case. Reha has been charged with purchasing and financing a small quantity of marijuana and her brother, Showik Chakraborty has been named as an accused.

Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) also said, that she received and delivered marijuana to Sushant Singh, she also made payments for it at his instance. If held guilty, Reha could face over 10 years in Jail.

Rhea Chakraborty has called the allegations against her a “witch-hunt”. Reha was arrested in this case in 2020 September, after almost a month of her arrest she got bail from the Bombay High Court.

The NCB launched a check into the drug use in the Bollywood and television industry following the death of Actor Sushant Singh, he was 34 when he was found dead in his apartment in suburban Bandra on 14th June 2020.

The CBI is checking his death, which police declared as suicide.
