New Delhi: As Indian batter, Virat Kohli goes through a slump in his career, BCCI president and former Indian captain Sourav Ganguly commented on the situation and his future in the Indian side.
Sourav Ganguly while talking to ANI, backed the star batsman and urged experts and people to look at his numbers in international cricket. Agreeing with the fact that Virat is going through a tough phase, Ganguly claims that he will be making a comeback and do well in future games.
Virat Kohli failed to convert innings in the past few series playing for the side. During the T20 series against England, Kohli scored a total of 12 runs getting dismissed quite early in the game.
With a few months left with the upcoming T20 World Cup, the Indian side is battling to get their best playing XI players for the T20 battle. Virat has always been an important element in the success of Indian cricket in the past decade and the team desperately needs him to get back on track before the World Cup.
Talking about the drastic fall in his career, Ganguly said that “It has happened to everybody. It has happened to Sachin, It has happened to Rahul, it has happened to me, it has happened to Kohli. It is going to happen to future players. That’s part and parcel of sport and I think as a sportsman you just need to listen, be aware of what it is and just go and play your game, “.
