Sushmita Sen Slams ‘Gold-Digger’ Trolls; Says ‘I’ve Always Preferred Diamonds’

Date:

The social media turned into a frenzy after IPL founder Lalit Modi announced that he is dating former Miss Universe and Bollywood’s beloved, Sushmita Sen. While he shared photos of them, it became insanely viral and the target of trolls too.

The couple’s pictures drew comments and trolls. One of the biggest Bollywood stars and witty Sushmita Sen was called a “Gold digger” for dating Lalit Modi.

The actress has now responded to her trolls; after four days, Sushmita Sen kept the calm for which she is known. She wrote while posting a photo from her vacation on Instagram “I dig deeper than Gold…and I’ve always (famously) preferred Diamonds!! And yes I still buy them myself!!!”

A part of her caption also says “It’s heartbreaking to see just how miserable & unhappy the world around us is becoming….,”

While these comments and trolls started right after the couple announced, it begs a question, how long will it take to get rid of the stereotype that women find companionship successful.
