Telangana governor and a practicing gynecologist, Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan earned public praise as she provided medical aid to a patient during a mid-air emergency.
Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan attended to an uncomfortable co-passenger on a Delhi-Hyderabad, IndiGo flight, on Saturday.
While Soundararajan was flying back from Varanasi via New Delhi in an Indigo flight, in the early hours of the morning, an emergency announcement was made by the flight attendant asking if there was a physician among the passengers
The governor, also a qualified doctor, hurried to the passenger who also just happened to be a senior IPS officer, in response to the emergency call.
Suspecting indigestion, heavy breathing, and chest pains as the cause, Soundararajan made the patient lie flat, checked his vitals, and provided first aid and medications.
The IPS officer recovered after a while and later was taken to the airport medical center on arrival.
Ravi Chander Naik, another passenger on the same flight, took to Twitter to spread the word about the governor’s noble act.
