Rain Lashes Several Parts Of Central India, IMD Issues Alert

New Delhi: Light rain and a generally cloudy sky are expected throughout the day in the national capital on Monday.

According to the Regional Weather Department, the maximum temperature is expected to settle around 33 degrees Celsius. The minimum temperature is expected to settle at 27.8 degrees Celsius.

According to Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), a low-pressure area has formed over Northwest & adjoining areas of West-central Bay of Bengal off south Odisha and adjoining north Andhra Pradesh coast.

The report further added instances of isolated extremely heavy rainfall over Odisha and West Bengal from August 8th to 10th. Extremely heavy rainfall is expected over Maharashtra, and Chhattisgarh in the next few days.

According to reports, a red alert has been issued in Telangana and Maharashtra for Monday, and an orange alert for all of central and western India, including Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, and Maharashtra, for Tuesday and Wednesday.
