Iconic Pictures of Quit India Movement

Quit India Movement also known as August Kranti at was a movement launched at the Bombay session of the All-India Congress Committee by Mahatma Gandhi on 8 August 1942.

The movement was first of its kind which Mahatma Gandhi called “An Orderly British Withdrawal” from India. Almost all the leaders of INC were detained by the Britishers and a small violence and lathi charge took place in the mass movement.

The movement was one of the foundations’ struggle movement for Independence of India.
