Head Coach Rahul Dravid Tested Positive For COVID Ahead Of Asia Cup

New Delhi: In a major setback ahead of the upcoming Asia Cup, Indian head coach Rahul Dravid tested positive for COVID on Tuesday ahead of the squad’s departure to UAE.

BCCI in a statement confirmed that “team India Head Coach Rahul Dravid has tested positive for COVID-19 in a routine test conducted ahead of the team’s departure to the UAE for Asia Cup 2022.”

BCCI further added that he is under the supervision of the BCCI medical team and has mild symptoms. He might join the squad later in the tournament after testing negative.

The rest of the squad including skipper Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have arrived in Dubai to kickstart the preparation for the upcoming tournament.
