Asia Cup 2022 Final: Sri Lanka Beat Pakistan To Lift The Trophy

Abu Dhabi: Sri Lanka beat Pakistan by 23 runs and lifted the Asia Cup 2022 trophy at Dubai International Cricket Stadium, UAE on Sunday.

Pakistan was on top for the first 10 overs of the Sri Lankan but it has pretty much been Dasun Shanaka’s side who has dominated since then.

Bhanuka Rajapaksa turned the Sri Lankan innings on its head with an unbeaten on 71 off 45 balls.

Dasun Shanaka’s men had also beaten Pakistan in the last Super 4 match on Friday and recorded a successful turnaround with five-straight wins since a defeat to Afghanistan in the tournament opener.

The six-time champions earned the title last in 2014.

The Asia Cup 2022 started on August 27 with Sri Lanka and Afghanistan opening the first match of the tournament.
