Fire In Narela Factory Doused Off, Two Dead While Few Feared Trapped

New Delhi: Two people have died and a few others have been shifted to a hospital after a massive fire broke out in a footwear factory in Narela on Tuesday.

According to reports, two people who have died in the accident were aged 30 and 35 years, however, their identities are yet to be ascertained.

Delhi Police said that information about the fire at E-909, industrial area of Narela was received at around 9.35 am after which a total of 10 fire tenders reached the spot.

The fire has been under control and few people are suspected to be trapped inside. He further added that the injured have been shifted to a nearby hospital and their conditions are stable.

The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained. Earlier on September 23, a fire had broken out in another footwear manufacturing factory in Narela, which was later brought under control.
