NewsMobile fact-checked the above claim, and found it to be FALSE.
We could not find any credible media report corroborating the viral claim. Had Elon Musk made any such statement, mainstream media would have definitely covered it.
The official Twitter handle of Elon Musk also does not have any such tweet. We did a Twitter advanced search with the keyword “Snapchat”, but the last tweet was dated May 27 and not November 20, as mentioned in the viral screenshot.
An archived version of Musk’s deleted posts compiled on PolitiTweet similarly did not reveal the viral statement.
Thus, it is evident that a fabricated screenshot of Elon Musk is shared with false claims.
