Kolkata: Amid the row over the movie ‘Pathaan’, Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan opened up with a message of positivity while addressing the International Film Festival in Kolkata on Thursday.
While speaking at the event, Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan said, “No matter what the world does, people like us will stay positive.”

The star was sharing the stage with Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Arijit Singh, Rani Mukherjee, Prosenjit, and former Indian cricketer Sourav Ganguly.

He added that “Social media is often driven by a certain narrowness of view that limits human nature to its baser self.”
He further added that “I read somewhere-negativity increases social media consumption… Such pursuits enclose collective narrative making it divisive & destructive.”
Earlier on Wednesday, BJP Minister Narottam Mishra objected over the costume of actress Deepika Padukone in a song of her upcoming film Pathaan which also casts Shah Rukh Khan.
The minister said that if certain scenes of the film are not ‘corrected’, the government will reconsider screening the film in Madhya Pradesh.
