Lusail: After the loss in the final match of the FIFA World Cup 2022, French President Emmanuel Macron consoled the players as the team sat downhearted in the dressing room.
After a high-intensity penalty shoot round, the French President was seen consoling Kylian Mbappe on the pitch as he was leaving the pitch dejected. In another video posted on his Twitter handle, Macron was seen consoling all the players after France’s 4-2 defeat in the penalties.
He took to Twitter and added “Congratulations to the French team for its career and its combativeness in this World Cup. You have thrilled the Nation and supporters around the world. Congratulations to Argentina for their victory,”.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to Twitter and congratulated Argentina for a glorious victory. He further added that “Congratulations to France for a spirited performance at the FIFA World Cup! They also delighted Football fans with their skill and sportsmanship on the way to the finals.”
