A report by The Sun features the picture of Messi with his mother. The caption of the picture reads: Messi enjoyed a special moment with his mother Celia Maria Cuccittini. In the picture, we can see that his mother is wearing a purple jersey as opposed to the woman in the viral video, who is wearing a white and blue outfit.
We also found more pictures of Messi’s mother from the day of the finals on Getty Images, where she can be seen in the same purple jersey. Several social media users have also pointed out that the woman in the video is the mother of a former football player and a close friend of Messi, Kun Ageuro.
