An image of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is being circulated on social media claiming that he is standing at a railway station, under a digital clock that reads 04:20.

The image was shared with a caption: What an apt capture  किसी को कुछ दिखा तो कमेंट करे!!

NewsMobile fact-checked the post, and found it to be fake.

Running the image through Google Reverse Image Search, we identified the original image in an article by The Hindu, dated December 14, 2021.

In the original image, the clock reads 01:13 with a caption: Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a visit to the Banaras station. (Image posted at Twitter/@narendramodi)

The official Twitter handle of Narendra Modi also carries the same image, dated December 14, 2021.

The tweet reads: Next stop…Banaras station. We are working to enhance rail connectivity as well as ensure clean, modern and passenger-friendly railway stations.

Hence, it is clear that the viral image is edited.
