IPL 2023 Auction: Highest Bid Sam Curran Sold To Punjab Kings For ₹18.50 Cr

Kochi: In the new record, England’s all rounder Sam Curran became the highest ever IPL buy when Punjab Kings broke the bank and brought him for Rs 18.50 crore.

Australian Cameron Green followed suit to Mumbai Indians after he was sold for Rs 17.5 crore and Chennai Super Kings pulled off the Ben Stokes deal for Rs 16.25 crore.

South Africa’s Chris Morris in 2021 became IPL auction’s biggest buy when he was bought by Rajasthan Royals for Rs 16.25 crore.

Ben Stokes was signed by Chennai Super Kings. He tied the record with South Africa’s Chris Morris for the third-most expensive signing in IPL.

West Indies’ Nicholas Pooran became the fourth-highest buy of the 2023 auction as Lucknow Super Giants went as high as Rs 16 crore in the hunt for a finisher.

English batter Harry Brook had a big payday as he was sold for Rs 13.25 crore to Sunrisers Hyderabad on his auction debut.
