Rajkot: Suryakumar Yadav’s power-packed innings lead India to a mammoth win against Sri Lanka as their innings conclude at 137 runs on Saturday.
With this win, Hardik Pandya led the Indian side to register a series win by 2-1. Suryakumar Yadav played an exceptional knock of unbeaten 112 runs. Other batters including Rahul Tripathi and Shubman Gill played powerful and balanced knocks, leading to a mammoth score of 229 runs for the chase.
India’s bowling attack dominated the second innings as Arshdeep Singh secured three wickets in his spell. Hardik Pandya and Yuzvendra Chahal managed to secure two wickets each.
India will next face Sri Lanka in a three match ODI series as Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul join the squad. The first match will be played on 10th January.
