Syria Earthquake: Newborn Baby Reportedly Rescued From Rubble, Watch

A baby has been reportedly rescued from the rubble in northern Syria following Monday’s massive earthquake, CNN reported.

The umbilical cord was still attached to the mother. As per media reports, the baby’s mother is believed to have died after giving birth.

The video of the baby being rescued from the collapsed structure has gone viral online.

The video shared on social media shows rescuers pulling the newborn from the rubble. It shows a man carrying the baby from the ruins of devastated buildings.

The total death toll from the earthquake that struck Turkey and Syria has risen to more than 11,000.

According to the World Health Organization, up to 23 million people could be affected by the earthquake, citing the damage to civilian and health infrastructure.
