New Delhi: Ahead of Cheteshwar Pujara’s 100th test match, head coach Rahul Dravid heaped praises on the test batsman.
Cheteshwar Pujara will be the 13th Indian cricketer to achieve the milestone. Pujara has over 7000 runs with 19 centuries in the format.
Rahul Dravid while speaking about the achievement added that “It is a big achievement for any player. Yes, you need talent but you need a lot of other things. It’s a reflection of your longevity and many other things. Your fitness, your resilience, ability to handle success and failure.”
He said that “To play 100 Tests, you need a minimum of 10 years and he has played for 13-14 years. It is a tribute to his skill which is there but so many other things are also there,”. Pujara in test cricket has an average of 44.16.
Ahead of his 100th Test match in the national capital, Pujara and his wife met Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
