FACT CHECK

NewsMobile fact-checked the post, and found it to be old.

Putting the keyframes of the video through a Reverse Image Search, we found the same post uploaded on the YouTube channel of TRT World News, dated February 13, 2021, with the title: Magnitude 7.1 earthquake hits Japan’s Fukushima.

The video was also uploaded on a verified Facebook page A News dated February 13, 2021, with a caption: A strong earthquake with a magnitude of 7.1 hit off the coast of eastern #Japan on Saturday, rattling buildings across #Tokyo. However, there appears to have been no major damage and no #tsunami warning issued. #Quake #earthquake #anews.

A powerful earthquake of magnitude 7.1 on the Richter Scale struck the northern coast of Japan on February 13, 2021. The tremors were felt in Tokyo, Miyagi and Fukushima, leaving one dead and at least 186 injured.

Thus, it is clear that the video is old and not from the recent earthquake in Tajikistan.
