Day 2: India All Out For 163; Australia Need 76 Runs To Win Third Test

Indore: Australian bowling attack dominates as Nathan Lyon’s eight-wicket haul forces India on the backfoot as they get bowled out at 163 runs, setting up a target of 76 runs for the chase.

India started the day on a high note as the Indian bowling attack managed to take quick wickets in the early sessions. Umesh Yadav and Ravichandran Ashwin picked up three-wicket each in their spell on Day 3 of the match.

Indian batting line-up continued to struggle under pressure. The opening pair of Gill and Rohit Sharma failed to build a strong partnership as they were dismissed early on in the second innings.

India kept losing wickets at regular intervals. Cheteshwar Pujara managed to script a fightback for the side. He played a crucial knock of 59 runs in 142 deliveries.

Nathan Lyon carried on with his top form in Indian conditions and picked up eight wickets in the second innings.

With this, Australia needs 76 runs to win the first test match in the ongoing Border Gavaskar Trophy.
