Manik Saha Gets Second Term As Tripura Chief Minister

New Delhi: After a thumping electoral victory for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Tripura, Dr. Manik Saha will reportedly continue as the Chief Minister for another term.

According to PTI quoting party officials, the BJP Legislative Party meeting named Manik Saha as chief minister for the second term.

The 70-year-old leader was given the position of Chief Minister last year amid major renewal in top positions.

The swearing-in-ceremony of the Chief Minister and the new council of ministers will take place on Wednesday in the presence of party’s high command including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP President JP Nadda.
