Bengaluru Traffic Helps Groom Ditch Newlywed Bride A Day After Wedding

Date:

Bengaluru: A groom ran away from his bride just a day after their wedding when their car was stuck in a traffic jam in the tech corridor of Bengaluru’s Mahadevpura, according to Times of India.

The couple tied the knot on February 15 and the groom tried to flee the very next day. It is reported that the bride got to know about the affair his husband had while working in Goa.

The bride said that the groom told her about being blackmailed by his former lover. She assured him that she was with him.

However, a day after the wedding, when the newlyweds returned from church, their car got stuck in a traffic jam for around 10 minutes. The groom opened the door and ran away.

“I was informed about this affair even before the marriage, but I agreed to marry him as he had promised to leave her,” the bride told TOI. Fearing this [blackmail], George ran away. He was also showing suicidal tendencies. Hope he is safe and will return soon.”

When his family found out about the affair he had with a married woman, he promised that he would stop seeing the woman but didn’t. His family then decided to arrange his wedding somewhere else.
