NewsMobile fact-checked the viral post, and found it to be misleading.
Running a Google Keyword Search for the event, we identified a tweet from the same day on the official handle of the Aam Aadmi Party. We also noticed the words ‘National Council Meet 18th December 2022’ written on the banner behind Kejriwal. The elements of the video in the tweet match the viral clip, indicating that the latter has been clipped from this video only.
We see Kejriwal talk about AAP’s performance in the last year as he talks about success in Punjab, Goa, Delhi, and Gujarat. Towards the end, he says that a person in Gujarat told him “….everyone takes milk from the cow, but you brought milk from the bull….” The longer version of the video has been clipped in order to misguide people.
Another news article in Hindustan, dated December 18, 2022 and titled: ‘In Gujarat, we extracted milk from bulls’, how was this year lucky for Arvind Kejriwal?, corroborates the claim that a person said the ‘extracting of milk from bull’ statement to Kejriwal.
We found the same news on Youth Ki Awaaz and Navbharat Times as well.
Therefore, we can conclusively say that the viral video claiming Kejriwal said that AAP brought milk from a bull is misleading.
