IPL 2023: Punjab Kings To Lock Horns With Gujarat Titans

Date:

Mohali: Punjab Kings and Gujarat Titans will be eyeing to keep the loss behind as they clash on Thursday at the Punjab Cricket Association Stadium.

Shikhar Dhawan-led PBKS will be looking to forge crucial partnerships at the start of the game. Skipper Dhawan returned unbeaten at 99 runs in the last match and will be a key factor in the batting lineup.

Youngster Prabhsimran Singh had an impressive start to the tournament but was dismissed in the first delivery against Sunrisers Hyderabad.

The addition of Liam Livingston in the batting lineup will boost the team’s performance in the upcoming games. Bhanuka Rajapaksha is likely to join the squad after his injury.

Gujarat Titans suffered a last-over loss in the last game under skipper Rashid Khan. Hardik Pandya is likely to join the playing XI and lead the side.

Rashid Khan became the first player in this season’s tournament to take a hattrick against Kolkata Knight Riders. However, his crucial spell went in vain after Rinku Singh smashed five sixes in the match.

Shubman Gill and Wriddhiman Saha continue to be a key factor to the top order, while B Sai Sudharsan has made sure that Kane Williamson’s injury-enforced absence hasn’t really been felt.

David Miller in the middle order continues to be lethal with bat and will be looking to make an impact in the match against PBKS.
