New Delhi: Coachella, one of the most highly anticipated music festivals in the world brings together the best musical talent from different countries. India’s Punjabi pop icon Diljit Dosanjh scripted history on Sunday after his power-packed performance at Coachella this year.
The Udta Punjab singer became the first Indian singer to enthrall fans with his renditions.
Diljit Dosanjh on his 45-minute long set, entered the stage with a complete Punjabi vibe by wearing a black kurta and tamba, he completed the look with a black turban, sunglasses, and a pair of yellow gloves.

Dosanjh’s performance at Coachella was a moment of pride for his fans, it also threw a spotlight on Indian music and culture, Bollywood celebrities and his fans congratulated the singer on social media. Several Punjabi singers too commented on Diljit’s milestone.
Actor Kareena Kapoor Khan took to her Instagram on Sunday to share an Instagram reel of her Udta Punjab co-star performing at Coachella. She wrote, “The OG’ with multiple heart and star emojis.
Actor Arjun Kapoor also referred to Diljit as G.O.A.T (Greatest Of All Time) on his Instagram story.
Rakul Preet Singh also expressed her happiness for Diljit taking Punjabi culture to new heights. Rakul shared the performance reel of Dosanjh and wrote, “Wohoo Punjabi Fever at Coachella. What a firecracker performer you are. Dil Jit Lita Sab Da”
American DJ and music producer Diplo, known for ‘Lean On’ and ‘Bubble Butt’ among many others, were aslo seen dancing on Punjabi music by Diljit Dosanjh.
Alia Bhatt, who shared the screen with Diljit in ‘Udta Punjab’, shared a clip of the singer and wrote, “EPIC!!!!!”
Angad Bedi, who has been a huge fan of Diljit’s songs, also took to Instagram and reacted to the videos from the festival. The actor called it a ‘proud moment’ and wrote, “What a proud moment for us!! Diljit Dosanjhwala at Coachella. Waheguru aur himmat de! Hunar bakamaal! Chad di kala.”
