Amritsar: ‘Waris Punjab De’ chief Amritpal Singh’s wife Kirandeep Kaur was reportedly detained by the Punjab Police at Shri Guru Ram Dass International Airport in Amritsar on Thursday.
According to sources close to ANI, Kirandeep was trying to flee to London. The flight to London was scheduled to leave at 1:30 pm. On April 10, Papalpreet Singh, a close aide of Amritpal Singh, had been arrested in Hoshiarpur in an operation conducted by Punjab Police and its counter-intelligence unit.
Amritpal Singh, the Khalistan sympathiser, has been on the run since March 18 — the day Punjab Police launched a massive manhunt for him.
