New Delhi: Amid the ongoing Operation Kaveri, 360 Indians that left from Jeddah Airport reached the national capital on Wednesday.
External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar took to Twitter and added “India welcomes back its own. Operation Kaveri brings 360 Indian Nationals to the homeland as first flight reaches New Delhi.”

An Indian national, who returned from Sudan expressed gratitude and thanked PM Modi and Indian government. She said “Indian govt supported us a lot. It’s a big thing that we reached here safely as it was very dangerous.”
Another Indian citizen named Surender Singh Yadav said that “I went there for an IT project and got stuck there. Embassy and the government also helped a lot. Around 1000 people are present in Jeddah. Govt is doing fast evacuation.”
Amid the ongoing conflict between the Sudanese Army and paramilitary groups in the capital of Khartoum, EAM S Jaishankar informed on Monday that its mission to bring Indian nationals back home from the conflict zone is underway.
According to reports, India has deployed its military planes and warships to rescue Indians from there. The evacuation operation started in Port Sudan.
Till now, an estimated 300-500 Indian citizens have been evacuated by ship and other evacuation processes are going on. The government sources also stated that the INS Teg is stationed at Port Sudan to bring back Indians from there to Jeddah.
