Kolkata: A major fire broke out in a multi-story building near the West Bengal Raj Bhavan in Kolkata on Monday morning, according to a fire official.
Fire tenders rushed to the spot after the fire broke out and evacuated the building; there have not been any reports of casualties or injuries as of yet. Efforts to extinguish the fire are underway.

The fire department claimed the fire broke out from a spark in a tube light. The situation was under control, said a fire department official. They also added that the situation is currently under control.
