Third-Year Student Shoots Friend on Noida University Campus, Then Kills Himself

Noida: In a shocking incident, a third-year Sociology student allegedly shot his friend before turning the gun on himself at the Shiv Nadar University campus in Noida. The incident unfolded outside the dining hall, according to the police.

The student, identified as Anuj, initially engaged in a verbal argument with his friend, leading to a tense situation.

Surprisingly, he embraced his friend before unexpectedly pulling out a gun and firing at her. Medical assistance was provided, but the woman succumbed to her injuries, as confirmed by a police official.

Subsequently, Anuj retreated to a room in the boy’s hostel, where he ended his own life. Authorities revealed that Anuj and the woman had been involved in a dispute for some time, despite being close friends, according to a senior police official.

The police have launched a probe into the incident.
