FACT CHECK

NewsMobile fact-checked the viral video, and found it to be false.

Conducting a Google Keyword Search about the ED raid on Shekhar Agarwal, we could not find any news about it. But running a Reverse Image Search of the video keyframes, we traced a YouTube shorts video posted on the official channel of CNN-News 18 dated September 11, 2022

The video keyframes exactly match with the viral clip and the description informs that the video is from an ED raid conducted on a Kolkata-based businessman’s properties. Around ₹18 crore cash was recovered by ED during the raid.

Searching with relevant keywords, we identified a YouTube news report on the official NDTV channel, dated September 10, 2022, and titled: Heaps Of Cash Found At Kolkata Firm In Raid, Counting Machines Busy

And we came to know that ED conducted raids in six different properties belonging to a Kolkata businessman who, along with his family, defrauded people through a gaming app.

Another report titled: ‘Kolkata: ₹17 crore  found during ED raid on home of gaming app operator’ published online in The Times of India, dated September 11, 2022. According to  the report, accused Aamir Khan is the promoter of a gaming app — E-nuggets. Khan allegedly lured users to his gaming app, then defrauded them, and the money recovered is what he had collected by cheating them.

We were not able to find any news about any AAP leader in Gujarat who goes by the name Shekhar Agarwal. Thus, it is clear that the viral claim is false
