Date:

New Delhi: The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) announced on Twitter that the ‘Launch rehearsal’ for Chandrayaan-3, which will launch on July 14 from Satish Dhawan Space Center, Sriharikota, was completed on Tuesday.

“The ‘Launch Rehearsal’ simulating the entire launch preparation and process lasting 24 hours has been concluded,” tweeted ISRO.

Earlier, ISRO invited the public to the Launch View Gallery at Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC) SHAR, Sriharikota, to witness the historic launch of Chandrayaan-3 on July 14.

Chandrayaan-3 is a follow-on mission to Chandrayaan-2. On July 22, 2019, India’s second lunar mission, Chandrayaan-2, commenced its journey to the moon from the Satish Dhawan Space Center in Sriharikota. Unfortunately, during the early hours of September 6, the Vikram lunar lander encountered a mishap and crashed on the moon, resulting in the mission’s failure.
